Our Story
Over the last decade we have come to believe that outstanding digital products can be built when design, engineering, and strategy work seamlessly together under one roof. What began as Bombay Design Centre in 2015, was born out of a gap we saw in the market—a gap where no company in India was delivering good design for digital products. However, from our roots in digital design, we’ve been evolving.
In 2018, we added engineering. In 2021, product strategy. By 2022, we integrated behaviour science into our system. And in 2023, we made our first strides into AI. Today we have capabilities to build world-class end-to-end digital products. So as you may see, we’ve evolved. We are now doing more than design and we are not the same entity we were 9 years or even 5 years ago.
It’s a new company altogether and it calls for a change in our name and our visual identity. We are now BOMBAYDC. Crafted in a beautiful Grotesque that shows the clarity of thought we now possess. We are departing from the yellow of our earlier days. A colour we will always remember. But if the future had a colour it would be green. And this is our midnight green. A colour that will be with us for the next decade.
This new identity—BOMBAYDC and the new colour—is who we’ve become. It represents the strategic depth and the maturity we have developed over the years.
BOMBAYDC is laser-focused on doing only and only one thing really well. Building outstanding digital products from strategy to design & engineering. We have stopped offering all the other services we offered until now. Additionally we are introducing an independent brand consulting company that will be laser-focused only on brand consulting.
We are also adding brand elements for our employer brand that represents the humans behind the work and our workplace. What's most exciting about this change is the future it represents and the focus it drives internally and externally.
