Overview

Delhi Redz is the official Rugby Premier League team representing the capital, owned by RMZ Corp. They needed a digital presence to introduce the sport, the team, and its identity to a growing audience. That's where Bombay Design Centre came in to build a digital presence as bold and high-impact as the sport itself.

We brought together storytelling, performance, and scalability to introduce the team, build early fan engagement, and establish a credible identity within an emerging sports ecosystem. A flexible design system and CMS-driven architecture keep the platform fast, updatable, and built for growth. The result positions Delhi Redz as a force to be reckoned with in India's evolving rugby culture.

Challenges

  1. Low awareness of the sport

    Rugby is still emerging in India, so the website had to both introduce the sport and establish Delhi Redz as a credible team.

  2. Balancing energy with clear navigation

    The experience needed to reflect the intensity of rugby without overwhelming users or compromising ease of navigation.

  3. Creating an evolving content ecosystem

    With fixtures, team updates, and league developments constantly changing, the platform needed to support frequent updates without friction.

  4. No fan engagement

    With no existing fan base, the website needed to drive exploration, repeat visits, and seamless interaction across devices.

Approach

    To create awareness, we built a high-impact visual language rooted in bold typography, a dominant red palette, and high-energy imagery, capturing rugby’s intensity and giving Delhi Redz a distinctive identity.

    We simplified the information architecture to prioritise what users come for, like team members, fixtures, and updates, making discovery intuitive and frictionless.
